Smitten

This is a word that I particularly like in English. In fact, I was smitten by it. It means to fall in love with somebody or something very quickly, instantly. I like it because it is not used often and it has quite a graphic sound. The very sound of the word gives a fairly good idea of its meaning. It feels like you were slap on the face with a sudden knowledge. Wake up and smell the coffee! you like something! you like someone!
I must say that I am not usually smitten, but it has happen two o three times. The intereresting part of being smitten is that you are always caught off guard, so you wonder how did it happen.
I like smitten and I am growing fonder of being smitten.
